Prof. Witold Pedrycz, IEEE Life Fellow Engineering - Electrical & Computer Engineering Dept, University of Alberta, Canada Dr. Witold Pedrycz (IEEE Life Fellow) is Professor and Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Computational Intelligence in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He is also with the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. Dr. Pedrycz is a foreign member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. He is a recipient of several awards including Norbert Wiener award from the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, IEEE Canada Computer Engineering Medal, a Cajastur Prize for Soft Computing from the European Centre for Soft Computing, a Killam Prize, a Fuzzy Pioneer Award from the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, and 2019 Meritorious Service Award from the IEEE Systems Man and Cybernetics Society.,His main research directions involve Computational Intelligence, fuzzy modeling and Granular Computing, knowledge discovery, pattern recognition, data science, knowledge-based neural networks among others.,Dr. Pedrycz is involved in editorial activities. He is an Editor-in-Chief of Information Sciences, Editor-in-Chief of WIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery (Wiley), and Co-editor-in-Chief of Int. J. of Granular Computing (Springer) and J. of Data Information and Management (Springer). |

Assoc.Prof. Pavel Loskot, IEEE Senior Member Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (ZJUI), China Pavel Loskot joined the ZJU-UIUC Institute in January 2021 as the Associate Professor after being nearly 14 years with Swansea University in the UK. He received his PhD degree in Wireless Communications from the University of Alberta in Canada, and the MSc and BSc degrees in Radioelectronics and Biomedical Electronics, respectively, from the Czech Technical University of Prague in the Czech Republic. He is the Senior Member of the IEEE, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK, and the Recognized Research Supervisor of the UK Council for Graduate Education. His current research interest focuses on problems involving statistical signal processing and importing methods from Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Science to other disciplines in order to improve the efficiency and the information power of system modeling and analysis. |

Prof. Dr. Sheeraz Ahmed Department of Computer Science, Iqra National University, Peshawar, Pakistan Sheeraz Ahmed received the degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering (communication group) from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan, in 1997, the master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Peshawar, in 1999, the M.S.C.S. degree from the City University of Science and Technology, Peshawar, the M.S. degree in computer networks, the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from COMSATS Islamabad, in Spring 2012, and the Ph.D. degree, in Spring 2016. During his stay in Ph.D. program, he published a total of 17 publications both in IF journals of international repute and IEEE conferences. His thesis title was “Towards Cooperative Routing in Underwater and Body Area Wireless Sensor Networks.” He has been engaged in working as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan, in 2017. He is currently working as a Full Professor with the Department of Computer Science, Iqra National University, Peshawar. He has more than 190 publications to his credit with more than 30 IF journals, 42 non-IF journals, and rest IEEE conferences. He has the honor to be a first researcher to establish a Research Academy in Pakistan by the name of the Career Dynamics Research Centre. His research interests include underwater sensor networks, body area networks, vehicular ad hoc networks, smart homes, and smart grid. |
Prof. Shubin Yan Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power, China Prof. Yan is mainly engaged in the research of micro-nano optical sensing and micro-nano manufacturing. His research interests cover the fields of nano optical waveguide functional units, optical quantum devices, micro integrated atomic clocks, and theory and system integration of sensor devices based on high Q optical micro cavities. He published 143 academic papers in important domestic and foreign journals such as Appl. Phys. Lett., Phys. Rev. A, Scientific Report, Opt. Express, Sensors, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, Chin. Phys. B, IEEE Photonics Journal, etc., of which 33 were accepted in SCI, 54 in EI, and 56 in core journals; he has applied for 72 national invention patents, 38 of which have been authorized. |
